BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Interstate 94 has reopened between Jamestown and Valley City but travel remains difficult in much of North Dakota because of blowing snow.
The state Transportation Department closed the stretch of interstate early Thursday because of multiple accidents blocking traffic. It was closed for about three hours.
A travel alert remains in effect for the central and eastern parts of the state. That means motorists can still travel but they are advised to slow down and use caution because conditions could rapidly change.
