FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Firefighters rescued a man from the Red River near downtown Fargo around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Fire Captain Bob Chuchna says a person walking on the 1st Avenue North bridge reported it. The person heard a splash and then someone yelling and saw the man floating face up in the river.
Chuchna says firefighters in protective gear were able to wade into the river and pull the man to safety. He was talking but suffering from hypothermia. The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
It's not known if the man fell into the river or jumped.
