MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - The Minnesota Board of Animal Health has received confirmation that chickens at the Baer Brother's Chicken Farm near Hawley are infected with the highly-contagious H5N2 influenza.
A test earlier this week indicated some of the chickens were suspected of having the virus and the farm was put in quarantine.
USDA says the case in Clay County involves about 175,000 chickens.
Millions of birds have been sickened across the state.
