FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A federal appeals court has ruled against a Fargo man who's been trying to reduce his prison sentence on child pornography charges.
Robert Scheiring pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child porn in 2010. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Scheiring claimed the sentence was excessive because the charges against him involve similar conduct.
U.S. District Court Judge Ralph Erickson ruled against Scheiring in December. This week, the ruling was upheld by a three-judge panel of the Eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
