MINOT, N.D. (AP) - An Idaho man is facing felony drug charges after a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper allegedly found six pounds of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop.
The highway patrol says the trooper stopped 19-year-old Daniel Patterson, of Sandpoint, Idaho, on U.S. Highway 2 west of Minot on Tuesday. During the course of the stop, the patrol says the trooper searched Patterson's vehicle and found the marijuana and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Patterson was arrested and charged with four drug-related offenses, including felony possession with intent to deliver and felony possession of a controlled substance.
An attorney is not listed for Patterson.
