MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- Warning sirens went off in Moorhead around 6 p.m. Thursday but they weren't supposed to.

Red River Regional Dispatch Center Assistant Director Amanda Glasoe says they checked with the dispatcher who would have been responsible for doing that and she didn't believe that she set them off. Glasoe now says the sirens were activated by mistake.  At the time, the center was doing a 6 p.m. pager test done daily for the Moorhead Fire Dept. and Clay County fire and EMS responders.

The warning sirens also sounded around 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m.  Both of those were planned as part of a statewide tornado drill for Minnesota.
