BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Three people charged after what authorities say is one of the largest methamphetamine busts in state history will be tried in federal court.

Arizona residents Rocky Mayfield and Oscar Delgado and Williston resident Tina Ganley were arrested near Berthold in February. Investigators say they found more than 10 pounds of meth they valued at nearly a million dollars. They also found two guns.

State charges were dropped against the three Monday as they made their initial appearances in federal court in Bismarck.

Mayfield and Delgado are each charged with felony drug offenses and being a felon in possession of a firearm. U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland ordered court-appointed attorneys for the two.

Ganley had an attorney appointed and pleaded not guilty.
