FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) - A former Fergus Falls man accused of killing his nephew over a drug debt is jailed in Minnesota on $1 million bail.
Sixty-five-year-old Michael Alan Burris was brought back to Minnesota on a governor's warrant from Arizona.
Burris made his first appearance in Otter Tail County District Court on a second-degree murder charge in the death of Scott Burris.
Scott Burris was reported missing in May of 2012. His body was found several weeks later. He had been shot in the head.
Michael Burris' son, Michael Kyle Burris, is accused of helping his father dispose of the body. The two men moved to Mesa, Arizona last April.
The sheriff's department says the son has been moved to another jail to limit interaction with his father.
