HAWLEY, MN (KFGO-AM) -- A small plane that had just taken off from the hawley airport struck a car on highway 10 west of Hawley late Tues. morning.
No one in the plane or the car was hurt. The car was a Clay County government fleet vehicle. The car had gouges and other damage on the driver's side.
The pilot, Dave Gowan of Minot, N.D., says the plane lost power shortly after take-off. He says he was at a 1,000 ft. and traveling at about 100mph when the plane lost power. He landed the plane in the eastbound lane where the collision with the car.
The plane has only only minor damage.
