Rolling Stones announce June concert in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - The Rolling Stones announced they are going to be making a stop in Minneapolis during their 15-stop Zip Code tour.

The concert will be at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus on Wednesday, June 3.Tickets go on sale for American Express cardholders on April 8. General sales begin on April 13.The tour will kick off in San Diego and wrap up in Quebec.

According to the band, the tour coincides with a rerelease of their iconic album Sticky Fingers, which included hits like “Brown Sugar” and “Wild Horses.”

The Rolling Stones have been performing for more than half a century, having formed in 1962.

They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, alongside Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Dion and The Temptations.
