GLYNDON, MINN. (KFGO-AM) - A suspect is in the Clay County Jail after leading Glyndon police on a pursuit that hit speeds in excess of 100 mph early Saturday.
Police Chief Mike Klein tells KFGO News an officer attempted to pull over the driver for erratic driving when the vehicle fled, going south on Highway 336 and then on I-94 into Moorhead.
The chase ended in the 1600 block of 27th Avenue South when the vehicle was disabled by spike boards. The driver fled on foot, but Klein says the man was heavily intoxicated and didn't get far.
The driver faces a dozen charges, including DWI, no license, no insurance, possession of a controlled substance and felony fleeing. Klein says the vehicle was automatically seized as a result of the fleeing charges.
The man's name was not available.
