JAMESTOWN (KFGO-AM) - A band of light freezing rain that moved across Stutsman and Barnes Counties Friday afternoon and evening made roads slippery and caused at least seven crashes on I-94. The state patrol says no one was injured in the crashes.
Two SUV'S crashed as drivers attempted to avoid another crash just east of Jamestown. Another SUV crossed the median and hit a semi near Jamestown. Two crashes involved pickups that hit guardrails at Jamestown and Spiritwood. Another crash on the east side of Valley City shut down part of the Interstate for nearly an hour when a semi rolled onto its side, blocking both westbound lanes. A number of other vehicles spun out into the ditch or median.
The patrol says drivers were going too fast for conditions.
