CASSELTON, ND (KFGO AM) -- The Federal Railroad Administration has agreed to inspect the railroad tracks around Casselton, where four derailments have occured over the past nine-years, including a fiery crash and crude oil spill December 30th.
Senator Heidi Heitkamp says she has secured a commitment from the FRA that a new track inspection program will be deployed to Casselton in the coming months.
The FRA last month issued new rules to promote railroad safety.
