BISMARCK (KFGO-AM) -- 21 people have applied to become chancellor of the North Dakota University System including a former chancellor and a lawmaker from Fargo.
Republican State Sen. Tim Flakoll was the last of 21 people to apply. Flakoll, now the Provost of Tri-College University, applied in 2012 and was among the finalists before former Chancellor Ham Shirvani was hired. Former Chancellor Robert Potts, now the head of Arkansas State University, has also applied.
The Board of Higher Education hopes to have a Chancellor hired by July 1.
