GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) The National Weather Service says the spring snowmelt in the Red River Basin is nearly completed.
The report released Wednesday says the melt should result in a ``minimal response'' in streams and rivers throughout eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota _ and flooding is unlikely.
The weather service says the only snow left in the basin can be found in tree lines and shelter belts north of Grand Forks.
Forecasters say dry and warm weather is expected to continue in the next week.
