FARGO (KFGO-AM) - The Fargo School Board has voted to redraw attendance boundaries for the new Eagles Elementary School. The K-5 school will open in 2016.

The boundaries will stretch from 32nd Avenue to 40th Avenue South between 25th Street and the Red River. Last month, the board agreed to expand the Eagles Kindergarten Center into a grade school. The space is needed to relieve overcrowding at other southside elementary schools.

The school board also heard construction of the new Ed Clapp Elementary School is on schedule. Assistant Superintendent Rachael Agre says they'll be known as the Ed Clapp Explorers. The school colors will be navy blue and grey. The school's logo is still being tweeked. Most of the teaching staff has been hired.  The K-5 school will open this fall.
