FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A handwriting expert will be allowed to testify in the trial of a suspended West Fargo High School english teacher.
The lawyer for Aaron Knodel, 35, argued that the state crime bureau agent doesn't have the level of training that should be required.
The judge hearing the case has ruled that a lie-detector test that his attorney says Knodel passed will not be allowed unless its accurancy can be determined ahead of the trial.
Knodel is accused of having a sexual relationship five years ago with a female student who was 17 at the time.
The trial is scheduled to begin with jury selection March 24.
