FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Changes are coming to the ranks of the Fargo Police Department. Chief David Todd's proposal to reorganize the department has been approved by the City's Evaluation Committee.

Todd will combine the Investigations and Administrative deputy chief positions. Todd was formerly the administrative chief, so that position is open. One move will help Fargo's student resource officers by decreasing the number of supervisors from six to one. Chief Todd said, "It's become a little bit disjointed as a program because of the number of supervisors involved. I think it would be probably a better program, a more closely knit program if I brought it back underneath one supervisor."

The changes, which could take effect right away, wont cost the city any extra money.
