FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A strong cold front will roll south across the region Monday night. Northwest winds will strengthen behind the front, with sustained winds around 30 mph, and gusts to 45 mph west of the Red River Valley Tuesday. In addition, 1 to 3 inches of snow are possible Monday night into Tuesday morning.
KFGO's Terry Spies expects Fargo-Moorhead will be on the low end of the snow totals, seeing maybe an inch. Combined with the strong winds, the snow and blowing snow may lead to difficult travel conditions Monday night into Tuesday. However, there is still some uncertainty in the location of accumulating snowfall. A blizzard warning has been issued for Tuesday through Tuesday night for west central and south central Minnesota.
Three to six inches of snow combined with winds 30-45 mph will cause hazardous conditions.
