FARGO (KFGO-AM) - With the pending closure of the Fargo Civic Center lot due to construction and limited off street parking available to accomodate the temporary loss of hundreds of parking spots, Fargo is discussing a downtown shuttle route that would connect with the parking ramp at the Moorhead Center Mall.
Fargo would provide the bus and operate the route. It would cost between $130,000 and $185,000 a year.
Senior City Planner Jim Gilmour says negotiations are underway with the City of Moorhead which owns the mall parking ramp and with mall merchants.
If it works out, the shuttle could be operating by mid-May. The Fargo Parking Commission will weigh in on the plan later this week.
