BISMARCK (KFGO-AM) -- A Bismarck Police officer shot a person during a traffic stop and scuffle over his gun.
It happened just after 5 p.m. Tuesday at 16th St. and Thayer Ave.
Police say the suspect removed the officer's gun from his holster during the scuffle. As they fought for control of the gun, it went off, hitting the suspect in the thigh. The officer regained control and took the suspect into custody.
An ambulance was called to take that person to the hospital. The officer was went to the hospital to be checked out.
