MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist is running for re-election.
Bergquist tells KFGO News that over the next four years, he'd like to oversee construction of a new jail and establish a school resource officer in Dilworth.
If Bergquist is re-elected, he would be among the longest-serving sheriffs in the county's history.
Bergquist is a former Moorhead police officer. He began his career in 1976 and was first elected sheriff in 2002.
