Seven teams of students from four North Dakota high schools are in Bismarck competing in the state finals of the annual LifeSmarts competition.
The Wednesday event hosted by the state attorney general's office is at the Heritage Center on the state Capitol grounds. Students taking part are from Central Cass, Flasher, Jamestown and Kindred schools.
This is the 18th year for the competition that tests students about personal finance, health and safety, the environment, technology, and consumer rights and responsibilities.
The winning North Dakota team will advance to nationals in Seattle, Washington, later this year.
