United Way of Cass-Clay reached campaign goal

FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- United Way of Cass-Clay has reached their 2014 campaign goal of $5.5 million.

Volunteer Campaign Chair and Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney, recognizes that this is more than just a fundraising effort.

"We're not giving hand-outs," Laney said. "We're giving hand-ups. We are giving people a foundation to succeed."

A significant portion of the money raised goes towards ensuring children are successful in their education. Over the past ten years United Way of Cass-Clay has raised nearly $48 million.
