FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A Mahnomen, Minn. man has been sentenced for stabbing another man outside a downtown Fargo hotel in November.
Samuel Ortley, Jr. pleaded guilty to attempted murder. Police say Ortley, his father and several other men got into an argument that quickly turned into a drunken fight. One victim was stabbed several times and another man was hit over the head.
Ortley's father was arrested on a Mahnomen County warrant. Ortley, Jr. was ordered to serve seven years in prison. He will be on probation following his release from prison.
