FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A fire early Thursday in an attached garage at the Park East apartments on Second street in downtown Fargo is under investigation.
Battalion Chief Dane Carley says it started in a car. A man found at the scene with soot stains on his face refused medical attention and was questioned by police.
Carley says crews had the fire under control within 15 mintues. He says a sprinkler system helped contain the damage, estimated at $40,000.
Although smoke infiltrated all four floors of the apartment building, no residents had to be evacuated.
