FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Cass County Electric is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the driver who hit a tranformer in south Fargo Sunday night, knocking out power to more than 200 customers right during the middle of the Super Bowl.
Co-op spokesperson Trudy Wanner said, "When our guys got out there and found the transformer, there were large sized tire tracks that hit the transformer. And it also made a big fireball. The transformer is all burnt inside. So, this would have been a big hit. It's not like they wouldn't have known they hit this transformer but there was nobody at the scene when our crews arrived."
Wanner says the transformer is located near apartments and homes south of Essentia Hospital. She hopes someone may have seen the crash. Police are also checking for any surveillance camera's in the area that may have caught the the vehicle on video.
