The Department of Transportation says the advisory includes Williston, Minot, Devils Lake, Watford City, Bismarck, Jamestown, Valley City and surrounding areas.
Officials closed Interstate 94 from Bismarck to Fargo Sunday afternoon due to zero visibility and multiple accidents. Officials also Highway 83 from Bismarck to Minot.
The state also has issued a travel alert for Grand Forks, Fargo, Glen Ullin, Flasher, Selfridge and surrounding areas due to blowing and drifting snow.
