MINOT, N.D. (AP) The annual archery tournament in North Dakota is moving to a new venue in Minot to accommodate a growing number of participants.
More than 500 students are expected to participate in the tournament scheduled for March 21st and 22nd. The event will take place at the All Seasons Arena in Minot.
Coordinator Jeff Long says only schools offering National Archery in the Schools Program lessons during school hours as part of their standard curriculum are eligible to participate in the tournament.
The top scoring individuals will be given early registration for the national tournament to be held in Louisville, Kentucky.
The number of participants in North Dakota's tournament has soar in recent years. More than 500 archers registered in 2014, an increase of over 20 percent from 2013.
