FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Low gas prices have everyone smiling including dealers. Kent Satrang, president of 21 Petro-Serve stations in the region says the lowest prices since 2009 help the bottom line of operators.
He says credit card fees that are paid on a percentage by stations are cut in half when you have $2.00 gas compared to $4.00 gas.
Satrang expects prices will inch up slightly within the next month but the increase is not expected to be big.
Patrick Dehaan, a senior analyst with GasBuddy.com says it appears the six month slide in prices is at or near the bottom.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded gas in Fargo is $1.79. The North Dakota statewide average is $1.98. The Minnesota statewide average is $1.97 a gallon.
