BISMARCK (KCND) - A consultant is predicting significant growth in the West Fargo School District over the next decade.
Superintendent Dr. David Flowers is planning to meet with a subcommittee of the school board to go over the results, but he gave a preview to a legislative committee Monday.
Flowers says the projection, prepared by "RSP and Associates," shows district schools will continue to grow at a rate of 500 to 600 students per year for the next ten years. West Fargo now has 9,100 students. By the 2024-25 school year, that number is projected to be 14,500 students.
Flowers was testifying on a bill to give additional state aid to growing school districts.
