BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota man has been sentenced to seven years in prison on an illegal firearms charge.
Forty-four-year-old Michael Schell, of Williston, pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.
Authorities say Schell was stopped for a traffic violation in July 2013 and police discovered four firearms and more than 500 rounds of ammunition.
Schell was prohibited from owning firearms because of multiple felony convictions, including domestic assault.
