MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- Faculty layoffs at MSU-Moorhead may be less than orginally proposed by the administration.
A revised plan would result in the elimination of three faculty jobs instead of six. The new proposal also calls for the merger of the theatre and music departments.
Programs with low enrollment would still be done away with, but new courses have been added due to student and employer demand.
The school could face an $8 million deficit within two years without any changes. The faculty has been asked to respond to the latest proposal within 10 days.
