FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Fargo firefighter was taken to a hospital to be evaluated after a crash involving a fire engine.
Firefighters responded to the scene of a traffic crash on Interstate 29 shortly before 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Another vehicle approaching the scene struck the fire engine while it was parked in a position to protect the accident scene from oncoming vehicles.
Fire officials said the firefighter did not appear to be seriously injured.
The Highway Patrol said the 19-year-old driver of the vehicle that slid on the icy highway and hit the fire engine was not hurt.
