FRISCO, Texas -- The wait is finally over for the North Dakota State football team.

The Bison play Illinois State in the Football Championship Subdivision championship game today at noon.

Coverage on KFGO begins at 9:30 a.m. with the "Bison Tailgate Show" hosted by Ryan Gellner and Norm Bell. Play-by-play man Scott Miller and color analyst Phil Hansen take over at 11 a.m. with the Bison pregame show.

Kickoff is schedued for about noon. Following the game, Miller, Hansen and Jorgenson will recap the action. Gellner will wrap things up with the "Bison Rewind Show beginning about 30 minutes after the game ends. You can call into the "Rewind" show and voice your opinions by calling (701) 237-5948.

The Bison (14-1) are going for their fourth consecutive national title. They shared the Missouri Valley Football Conference title with the Redbirds (13-1), who are making their first title game appearance. Neither team has played since the semifinals in mid-December.

NDSU returns to Frisco despite losing 24 seniors and most of its coaching staff off last year's undefeated champions.

"It started back in January when we returned from Frisco and got everybody together and said, hey, embrace the change," said first-year head coach Chris Klieman, who replaced Craig Bohl. "We're going to have a new voice in front of the room and new challenges, new coaches, new coordinators. But the Bison tradition and Bison culture wasn't going to change."
