BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ Part of Interstate 90 has been closed in western South Dakota, while a travel advisory in western North Dakota has been lifted.

No travel will be allowed between Exit 32 at Sturgis and Exit 55 west of Rapid City until conditions improve and crews can clear the interstate.

White-out conditions with zero to near-zero visibility, icy roads and drifting snow are making safe travel almost impossible along that stretch of I-90.

In North Dakota, a travel alert for the Williston, Dickinson, Minot, Bismarck and surrounding areas was lifted.

But an alert remained in effect for Devils Lake, Jamestown, Valley City, Grand Forks and surrounding areas yesterday due to blowing and drifting snow creating reduced visibility.
