FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Fargo has been given a five-year extension for the downtown Renaissance Zone which allows for tax breaks for new and existing businesses. The state has granted the extension to Dec. 2019.
Under the program, eight new buildings have gone up and 67 buildings have been remodeled.
The city estimates that overall downtown property values have increased by $386-million since the Renaissance Zone was first approved in 1999.
