FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A Fargo taxi driver was robbed at knife point in broad daylight.
Police Sargent Chris Nichtern says the driver for Doyle Yellow Checker Cab had pulled over to park in the 900 block of 43rd Street South around 3:30 p.m. Saturday when a man tapped on her window. Thinking he wanted a ride, she opened her window. He pulled a knife and demanded the money she had. She turned over the cash and he fled. The cabbie was not injured. A k-9 track was unsuccessful.
Nichtern says the robber was bold. The scene is just north of Petco and in front of a number of apartment buildings.
The robber is a white male, in his 20's, with a slender build, goatee and blond hair. He was wearing a hunting jacket and blue jeans.
