FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Officials say building permit values in North Dakota's largest city have topped $1 billion.
Jim Gilmour is planning director with the city of Fargo. He says the milestone is more than two and a half times higher than the previous record of $377 million set last year.
Among this year's permits are 44 multi-family apartment buildings, 312 new single family homes and 79 new commercial buildings, including a $344 million Sanford Health hospital project.
