FARGO (KFGO-AM) A report from a research firm says North Dakota jumped 14 spots in the annual ranking of millionaires nationwide last year. According to estimates by New York based hoenix Marketing International, North Dakota was the leader among all gainers in 2013. The state was ranked 29th in the number of millionaires, up from 43rd the year before. David Thompson, a managing director with Phoenix says North Dakota’s energy boom is driving the state’s wealth gains. The annual poll shows North Dakota has an estimated 13,000 millionaire households, a 15% increase.
