FARGO, ND. (KFGO AM) -- A Winter Storm Warning is now posted from 3:00 this afternoon through 6:00 tomorrow morning for much of North Dakota, northwestern and western Minnesota.
The warning includes the F-M area.
KFGO Forecaster Terry Spies says we'll get a break today but heavy snow should move in by tonight and continue through tomorrow.
Strong northerly winds will cause near blizzard conditions in the Red River Valley tonight, making travel difficult.
Most areas will see total snow accumulations tonight thru tomorrow night from 5-to-8 inches with locally heavier amounts of up to a foot possible.
Cold temperatures combined with strong winds will create wind chills of 25-to-35 below zero by late tomorrow.
The F-M area picked up about 3 inches of snow yesterday with heavier amounts reported in the Minnesota lakes area.
