Fargo, N.D. (AP) An environmental health official is warning North Dakota hotels about a pool inspector impersonator.
Grant Larson with the City of Fargo says the con artist has visited two local hotels claiming to be a pool inspector. The male suspect allegedly checked the pools, and then told hotel employees that they had failed the inspections but he could repair the violations for a fee.
Larson says the city does inspect public pools, but inspectors do not make repairs or hire contractors to do the work.
