BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota's lottery director says player fatigue and smaller jackpots led to a $903,000 decrease in ticket sales during the last fiscal year.
Director Randy Miller says an unaudited financial report released Tuesday shows North Dakota gamblers wagered $26.9 million on lottery games for the fiscal year that ended June 30. That's down from $27.8 million in fiscal 2013.
Miller says lottery ticket sales set a record in 2013 because of bigger jackpots. He says there is a direct impact to ticket sales depending on the size of jackpots.
