MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFGO AM) -- The Moorhead Public School Board has finalized a change that will save the district close to $4 million.
The money will be used for building expansions to accommodate a rapidly growing elementary class.
Assistant Superintendent Wayne Kazmierczak says the school board is trying to refinance the district's long-term debt to save around $550,000 annually for seven years.
The change is expected to not only save money for the district but could actually lower property taxes by close to $10.
