WEST FARGO (KFGO-AM) The search for a missing snowmobiler is expected to resume Wednesday morning on the Sheyenne River in West Fargo.
Diver's found his snowmobile in the river near the 12th Avenue North bridge. It appears to have plunged through thin ice or into open water.
Police Sargent Jason Dura says the search was launched around 8 p.m. Tuesday after several of the missing man's friend's called police to report he failed to meet up with them to go snowmobiling.
Searchers found a snowmobile windshield and some clothing under the bridge and divers from Valley Water Rescue then found the submerged snowmobile.
The search was suspended at 2:30 am. Wednesday due to the cold and wet equipment.
