FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- After three, four–year terms, two Cass County Commissioners have retired.
Darrell Vanyo and Vern Bennett were both elected in 2002. After serving three terms on the commission, you aren't allowed to run for another for at least two years. While their time on the board may be done for now, both appreciate the time they spent serving the public.
Vanyo says, "I will be continuing on as a diversion authority board member, so I'll be seeing many of you in that capacity. Thank you all for coming it's been a great ride." Bennett says, "We'll be looking for some other things to do. Working with the county has been a fantastic opportunity."
Both Vanyo and Bennett say they plan to spend more time with their familes.
