CROOKSTON, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - A freak accident during a home improvement project caused a nail to be lodged in the eye of a Crookston man.
Jeff Aubol was using a screwdriver to pry a bracket from a window. When the bracket popped off, it launched the nail into one of his eyes.
Aubol's wife took him to the hospital, where doctors told him the nail was a hair width away from blinding him.
Doctors took the nail out, and Aubol was back at work in a couple of days.
