FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Students are taking charge in helping out the less fortunate by once again filling the Fargodome with food.

Fifty-five F–M area schools from elementary to high school plan to collect half a million meals to feed the hungry.  This marks the 7th year of the successful event.

The entirely youth led drive covers the Fargodome with food which will go to the Great Plans Food Bank.

West Fargo Student Council Ambassador Cody Eisenbeiz said, "It really helps us appreciate what goes on in our community and how much work goes into other charitable events and it also helps gain more of an appreciation for the type of people in our community and how supportive they are through all of it."

You can still make cash donations online at: fillthedome.org or Tuesday at the Fargodome.

Fill the Dome has been able to provide over 1 million meals to the Great Plains Food Bank.
