MAPLETON, N.D. (KFGO-AM) Eric Hillman, mayor of Mapleton survived a recall vote. He beat Carlita Dietz with almost two-thirds of the votes in Thursday's special election.
City Council Member Ryan Johnson led the recall effort. He and other Hillman critic's said he is unprofessional and belligerent, and has handled city issues unfairly. Hillman denied the claims.
