FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Fargo Police Chief Dave Todd is recognizing another one of his officers for showing compassion while doing his job.
Officer Chris Bergem handled a domestic assault call Thursday where one adult went to the hospital and the other went to jail. With no adults left in the house, and 9 kids in need of care, Officer Bergem stepped to the plate and fed them all breakfast while waiting for a sitter to arrive.
Chief Todd says he's extremely proud of the job Officer Bergem did, especially because the children said they previously had a bad experience with an officer.
Earlier in the week, Chief Todd recognized Officer Chris Holte for finding a missing 9-year old and collecting money so he could buy shoes and join the basketball team he wanted to be on.
